Artist's Description

Pot Alley is one of the magnificent coastal gorges that lie just south of the holiday town of Kalbarri, some 600 kms north of Perth. This particular scene is hidden from view at high tide and even when the tide is low not many people get to see it because it’s existence is not widely known. For a start it’s a bit of a scramble down to the beach and then one has to negotiate several rocks in order to get this view – and all the time you need to be watching the tide and the surf. Betty was on the beach having kittens while I was leaping blithely from rock to rock to find the best vantage point. Boy, did I get told off when I got back
