Who, me? I’m the guy who took all the photos you see on this blog, except for that photo of me, that was taken by my gorgeous wife Michelle.

Photography isn’t a hobby or an art, it’s a way of life, and beauty is captured forever in a photo blah blah blah. Are you asleep yet?

I don’t believe in the above, it’s because I don’t think it helps you to know me as anyone other than a artsy fartsy photographer.

My goal is to get the moments that tell a story, not to just capture a technically great photo, but one that has meaning behind it. My plan is to become a visual artist to pay the bills, a joy that I’m looking forward to, and I won’t take for granted.

I want to be the guy who makes photography shoots stress free, no worries, no hassles. I remember my own wedding, our aim was to capture a story of the whole day. Lucky for us we achieved just that. Who wants 5 hours of rushed coverage that just causes you to stress over the timing of the day rather than enjoy the moment.

In the end the customers I hope to receive will be by referral, by friends telling friends about this guy who made their life easy and gave them beautiful photographs.

What better compliment could a photographer ask for?

So combining artistic and classical documentary-style photography, I would say I am an up and coming wedding photographer. I offer a fresh approach to wedding as well as family, new born, maternity and event photography.

P.S I am also available for travel outside the Western Cape.

My true love

Its the 23 April… today I marry my true love. / The air is crisp as the sun peaks over the mountains. / As each ray catches up, the birds begin to sing, the dew begins to drip. / The lawn mowers are started, the bread is in the oven. / My shirt is white with shiny cufflinks on the sleave. / I wonder what she’s feeling. / The air is silent yet movement all around. / The shoes are new, …
