Artist's Description

The Cabot Trail circles the northern half of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, and is considered one of the world’s most scenic travel routes. The trail encloses the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It starts and stops at the village of Baddeck, on the Bras d’Or Lakes, and traverses hills, valleys, mountains, both the east and west coast of the island, through tiny fishing villages, farmlands and wild upland barrens where moose deer and coyotes are often seen.
Cap Rouge is in the western side,by the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and this view is facing south towards the Acadian village of Cheticamp.
