This beautiful American schooner paid a visit to the town of Sidney,Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada on Aug.30,2007, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get her name or home port. If anyone should recognize her, please send me a BM and I’ll add the information.

wow what a beauty!!
:))
Thanks Maggie, I wish I knew her name, didn’t have my binoculars in the car and didn’t have enough time to go get my boat and go out to her..LOL! Sometimes you win, and others…:)
Looks beautifl George….very nice capture of this great looking boat !! Would have loved to see this with its sails up !
Hi Sean, yes I would have too. She just appeared one morning so I assume was a night arrival. Probably motored in to the anchorage. Sails would be very nice, I’m sure.
An absolute beauty, George. Would love to have something like that! I saw one like her down in Newport, R.I. a number of years ago and got a shot off. Have to dig it up – maybe it’s the same one (but I doubt it!)
Well it could be possible..we get boats here from all over the East coast, Caribbean, etc. people who go on cruises for months. Sometimes they just stay a day like this one did, others will hang around for a few weeks..must be great to live like that for awhile..lol!
I could handle that quite well, I think. We get quite a few going up or downriver, but not too many stop here. I’m lucky – I can see them from the front steps of my workplace. Even saw the Bounty sailing by. That was a kind of eerie “thrown back in time” feeling!
