When I saw this scene in Canmore,Alberta, my first thought was “what a great windbreak!” and I’m sure they are. November 9, 2006, and early morning sunlight just starting to filter down from the high peaks of the Rockies.

Hope the wind blows the right way. Those mountains can just as easily create one huge snowbank too!
I really like the the way the mountains turn the buildings into insignificant little pimples.
