None Choose To Hear

None Choose To Hear

Blackbirds herald approaching night,
I think of them captive along corridors
Of screams, none chooses to hear
Where slamming of heavy doors
Violates the frailty of those
Pained with the weight of hours.

No, this is not the way,
Fear is not the way
Destruction of what makes me
Human can never be the way.
Through menacing solitude
The mind must be free

To weary captures with questions
As seasons turn inevitably
Watch by those far from
Any reality of a common life.
Trees yearn upward like a searching mind
While among the imprisoned justice

Sees the lost and broken,
Sees and weeps
Feeling the vibration
Of the slammed doors
The heavy hours and calls
“Not in my name yet still none choose to hear.”
