My name is Jane, I’m 50 and I reside in Adelaide, South Australia.

I have over the years when I was younger had many unexplained experiences, most which were unnerving and negative, so for years and years I turned my back on things I felt, heard, saw, sensed etc. As I did not want to get involved with anything of that nature.

The last ten years things began to happen that I could no longer ignore, and I came to realise that there were things that just are. because of events that happened that I wont bother going into now, I came to the realisation that I needed to learn all I could about the paranormal as it wasn’t going to go away, so began a journey that has seen not only myself, but family and friends witness strange and unexplainable things.

The last seven years or so I have experienced many unexplainable things, and I have found that if I ask I seem to be able to capture many weird images on my camera. My friends and family joke about me being the spirits preferred photographer, because of the frequency that images or orbs appear in my photos.

I joined a paranormal group a few years back, where we investigated paranormal acitivity when contacted by people about thngs happening at their homes or offices. Ths was very interesting, and sometimes rather scary, but I leant a great deal from it. I left this group eventually because I found it too opportunistic, as they gave no feedback to the concerned people who had invited us in, and gave no advise or comfort to those that were petrified. I could not be involved with this kind of mindset, because these people called us for help.

It was during this time that I discovered that the things I felt, saw, sensed, heard etc were actually real.

Last year I started my own group called W.I.S.P.A. (Women investigating spiritual and paranormal activity). We investigate places which have a history of hauntings’ as well as places we are invited into by people who have contacted us for help or advise because of unusual activity occurring in their homes, or offices.

The first thing we do is try to eliminate any logical or practical reason for the activity, and you would be surprised how often we find the cause to be something as simple as possums, birds, leaking pipes etc.

But every now and then, once all logical and obvious practical reasons are eliminated we are left with evidence that is unexplainable and leans towards the paranormal. I now have literally hundred of amazing photos of orbs, light ribbons, mist, apparitions etc as well as documentation of things we all felt, heard, smelt or sensed in a location. This is not something I talk about a lot, as the ridicule and obvious jokes become irritating after a while, as well as people think your nuts.

I know I’m not, as do my family and close friends. The evidence we have gathered over the years points to the fact that the paranormal is a real and very much around us phenomenon. But is one that needs to be treated carefully and with respect.

So now you know a bit about me, I look forward to hearing about other peoples experiences in this area.
