Artist's Description

The Picture was taken on a windy January day in 1965 in the ghost town of Riley or Santa Rita as the locals refer to it. Take the forest service road south out of Magdalene. In about 20 miles you will come to the town. The church and the grave yard have been restored in recent times. All of bare trees are apple trees.

The post in the foreground with the barrel hoop is still standing 48 years later.
