Beautiful work ..it’s amazing with what you did with colored pencils…Have you ever tried watercolor pencil. I’m going to have to try cold press illustration board. It looks like a painting…and the hair is perfect!
Thats a coincidence Margaret as I just purchased a set of watercolour pencils and made a complete botch of the drawing, I guess I’ll have to stick with what I know best. Your comment is very much appreciated and I do thank you.
What a fabulous likeness you’ve captured here with your amazing drawing skills. This must have taken ages with coloured pencils!!! Great work Gary. (Now I’ll have that tune inside my head for the rest of the day)!
Ah yes Lynda, and what a fine song it is to be singing to yourself all day only I’d have trouble reaching the high notes unless I was kicked in the private parts. Many thank you’s for your most thoughtful and inspiring comment.
Beautiful!!! And I don’t see a single strand of hair out of place. :)I love the detail on his hair, and his eyes look amazing!
Thank you Jayca for your lovely comment and taking the time to leave it.

Many many thank you’s Deborah.
One of my all time favourite films for the great music, Travolta’s mesmerising dance moves, and the nostalgia of just the best era. Travolta was perfectly cast, and in this portrait you have captured the vanity of the character, but with the vulnerability behind those hypnotic blue eyes. A beautiful piece of work Gary, well done.
I can just see you now Margaret doing a double back flip on the dance floor to the sounds of Night Fever. Although not a huge disco fan myself it was a great time to be young and am pleased to have bought back favourable memories for you. Thanks so much for your in depth comment and praise.
