Artist's Description

Ok, this started as a little practice in photo editing with the original photo and became like 6+ hours of work Lol
On Sunday night I made the summer one, just fiddling around with a photo I took a couple of weeks back. I wanted to see how different and cool I could make it from the original and I was pretty pleased with the results. Anyway yesterday afternoon I had this great idea to make three more and turn them into the seasons. So I was up last night working on them for hours I finally finished quite late. And here’s the end result! I was happy with it apart from the minor faults you can see in them. Keep in mind that this is tiny compared with the full file, the JPEG file for this even with all four of them is over 20mbs at half quality not to mention of the photoshop file.

(Please note, on different screen it will appear darker, lighter or more saturated than I intended it to be. On my screen now it is fine though, so all my adjustments are from me looking at how bright my screen is.)

Every one of the seasons has a little symbol under one eye, representing something from the season.
Here’s a brief bit of an explanation from what I see in each season.

Spring- Her symbol is the flower (or a sun, whichever way you take it) for new life and blooming. The green colour theme is because of the world coming alive again after winter. New lives are being born and the world is waking up again.

Summer- Her symbol is the twisted swirly vine, and I haven’t worked out what it stands for yet.The colours are more golden to show the hot summer days with warm pattern of light shifting through the trees. Her green deep pools of eyes are to show the delight of diving into a cool pool on a hot day. The blue streaks in her hair is the lovely bright blue skys on a lazy summer afternoon.

Autumn(Fall)- Her symbol is the leaf, for the shedding of old things. Her eyes are a hazel brown with sparks of silver deep in them. Her hair a reddish coppery look to it to show the change of colours during autumn into a beautiful tapestry of oranges, yellows and reds. A bit of mischief runs through her veins.

Winter- Her symbol is the snowflake for cold days sitting in front of a fire with a cup of hot chocolate watching the snow come down through the window. Her blue eyes are ice, cutting through everything. Her hair and skin pale for the snowstorm.

Comments and critique on this is much appreciated.
All resources used where my own photos of bokeh and brushes I purchased a while back.
I painted alot in these and did some major changes from the first original photo. I haven’t made a photomanipulation for months so this was a bit of a challenge for me.
