I STILL CAN HEAR THE WIND CHIMES

I use to go to Florida, to visit mom and dad,But many moons have passed me by;And now I feel so sad!I use to take a plane ride, every single year,But seasons came and went so fast;Folks are no longer there!I still can hear the wind chimes,Playing music oh so sweet;A steady tinkle as they played,In tune to Florida’s heat! With mom and dad so close to me,My memories do not fade;We sat out back beneath the trees,Just looking for some shade! My dad would pick some oranges,He’d make some juice for me;And we would all sit peacefully,While sipping it, or tea.But I still can hear the wind chimes,And I wish they still were there; With love and lots of laughter,As we sat out in our chairs. And I still can hear the wind chimes,And I guess I always will;At least until I join them,Under heaven’s trees, until!
