MY NAME IS JAKE

I stepped into the garden,That my grammy grew.I didn’t step on anything,Oh, if she only knew!My grammy grows tomatoes, she grows some green beans too;And she didn’t see me out there,Oh, if she only knew!I didn’t have my shoes on,And, I didn’t have my sox;But if she saw me out there,She’d yell, “Don,t mess up my rocks!”So, I stepped so very carefully,When I fell down on the stone;I didn,t cry or scream at all,But, I saw her on the phone.I fell down in the garden,And I took a little rest.I couldn’t tell my grammy,I was making such a mess! But when I looked down at the blood,That was coming from my knee;I had to yell, "Hey grammy,Come out and help me please!"Then, she came out a runnin’ ,Said, “Jake, what did you do?”“I stepped out in your garden,And, I had no socks, or shoes!"She said, "Come in the house with me,And, we will fix it fine. We’ll wash it and we’ll bandage it,Come, grandson of mine!"She didn’t yell or holler,That’s what I thought she’d do!She only wanted to fix it,That’s why grandma, “I love you!”
