"Missing Socks"

I have socks in my drawer to spare,
I even get holes in my underwear.
Mom says,“Son won’t you tell me please,
where are the socks to match all these?”
I don’t know mom where the mates all go,
ask my little brother maybe he would know.
When I take them off my feet at night,
I place them in the hamper and close it tight,
“Son, I just don’t understand, where the socks all go,
I asked your little brother, says he doesn’t know.”
Me and and my dad seem to have the same problem,
we keep loosing socks and we can’t seem to find them.
So if your a kid that looses socks everyday,
and it’s hard to find match to go out to play.
It’s a great mystery in our family,
to look for all the mates to match all these.
So we just throw them away and start all over again,
to try and solve the mystery we seem never to win!

Artist's Description

This poetic scenario has been lived out in many a household of siblings. Especially when there are boy’s. Maybe it’s boys that are just more prone to loosing what they consider non essentials. Anyway it’s just a fun piece intended to inject a bit of humor in the everyday frustrations of life. Hope you enjoy,“Missing Socks”
