Artist's Description

Processed in photoshop. When I was a child growing up in the panhandle of Florida, my grandparents had one of these trees in their front yard. I’m guessing these ornamental trees were pretty inexpensive to buy. My grandparents were very poor so I’m sure someone either gave it to them or they started it from seed. Lots of childhood memories attached to this flower. The seeds were dropped from the tree in pod form, much like peas or beans you might see in your garden. We loved to hull the seeds just for fun. Funny how simple things can translate us back in time to another place.
