The Lost Love Story

A poet sits in the moonlight,
Under the sky of a million stars.
He prays to them for assistance,
But they only rain down upon him.

Crushed by his own stupidity,
Punished in the form of roses thorns
Beautiful and harmless until you touch them
His heart remembers life before the pain.

One moment, trapped forever in his mind
One movement, held back by a simple worry
One worry, that his life would be forever shattered
One lasting love reappeared once again.

Crying shame as he realizes his mistake
He prays for a chance, another moment
To recreate his long lost mistake
Death dines as angels cry,
As he prays for forgiveness to a woman whom is gone.
