Magazine Feature!

Yay! I’m soooo chuffed! A local photography magazine has contacted me, they want to feature one of my works in an upcoming issue! I am so thrilled! I’ve been tagging my works on Instagram with their tag and finally it paid off! Their website is

And this is the work they want to feature! This is so cool because this photo was taken on a weekend away to the renowned Namaqualand in South Africa, famous for it’s Namaqualand Daisies. The weather did NOT play along that weeked and shooting, in maco especially, was near impossible!

Camera stolen!

We went away up the west coast this weekend (of the Western Cape, South Africa). On Sunday morning around 1am, my husband woke up and saw a man standing on my side of the bed. When he saw my husband waking up, he grabbed stuff and ran out. He took my handbag (which has my purse and cards and my glasses and all sorts of other stuff) and he also took my camera bag which had my SLR and lenses as well as my Panasonic Lumix camera. Since it didn’t happen in my house, insurance won’t cover the camera.

What will I do without my cameras??? I don’t know how long it’ll be before I can afford another camera.

I feel totally lost! And extremely enraged.

The world cup is HERE!

Literally – I mean HERE, in SA. It’s absolutely insane at the moment, everyone is so excited. Here at work, everyone is wearing Bafana Bafana t-shirts and our reception area is decorated galore! And everywhere you go, you see cars with flags all over them and you hear those annoying vuvuzelas… but for one whole month, South Africa will be in the spotlight and that’s great. =)
Looking forward to the opening ceremony and SA vs Mexico today!

Every action has a reaction and every heart break has a reason…

Every emotion has a season and every feeling needs a home

Planted firmly in muddy water, the crystal clear river runs a hazy journey

Through the hills and valleys of my earth, in chasing time I lose it

In chasing love I lose me

Draw strength from the lazy who have no time to see, nurture the weary & neglect me

Draw courage from the weak who have not the character to be…

Aimless fears hidden in dark rooms of hope, heavy curtains of disillusionment

Obscure the truth, the death of sunlight before it is revealed

The scene is halted at the height of intensity, the performance is not perfect

the script is changed before it is read

Wishing is senseless and dreaming is helpless

Lest you set action to intention to spur on, r
