Artist's Description

Standing tall against the winds through the Straits of Mackinac, this 26,372 foot long bridge officially opened in 1957, and is rated the world’s 22nd bridge with a long main span, and plus being a suspension bridge that is the longest between anchorages in the Western Hemisphere. It’s also the gateway to Michigan’s Upper Peninsular (the U P), separated by the straits from the lower peninsular.
