I spent my Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend with fellow RedBubblers Scott Denny and his Father Tim Denny at the Horicon Marsh in Horicon, WI. I had a great time sharing stories, driving around looking for photo oportunities, and best of all having dinner with everyone. Unfortunately out of all the shots I took I only had one photo turn out, a shot of a Red-winged Blackbird which I will be posting. I learned a lot from them and had a blast as usual. After a long ride home I was definately wiped out.
Sunday was a different story all togather as far as the photos went. Thank goodness for the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary – always available and never without photo opportunities. I know I talk a lot about this place in my descriptions but I can’t help it. In three hours of basically walking around the sanctuary I was able to see and hear dozens of songbirds, 5 different types of ducks, pelicans, eagles, hawks and turkey vultures, not to mention all of the animals that are residents there. If you ever get to Green Bay, Wisconsin and have some extra time it is a must see. Free to anyone who wishes to go and an awesome place visit.
