Artist's Description

The “mudflow” or “Lahar” in the Clarno Unit of the John Day Fossil Bed Nat’l Monument in central Oregon is full of bizarre “hoodoos”, faces and minarets.

Plus, notice the three rocks up front. Orange one seems to be balancing and scraping or dancing over the two lower supporting boulders.

How did top rock move?

How did top rock get up there?

Did he crack the lower Boulder?

A geo-puzzle!
