Artist's Description

This is one of my planes we just caught from the desert. She has flown over 5200 hours in just 2.5 years. The light spots you see on her are tape, that’s right tape. When you go to extreme altitudes with temps of 100 below zero and return to the ground at temps of around 130 degrees your paint tends to crack, and wants to fall off. The fix was tape. Of course now that she is home, she will get a new coat of paint to spruce her back up. This is the first time since she was built that she has been back on U.S. soil, so one heck of a home coming, and we are very proud of the work she has done. Her name is Patches, and I think you can see why. She has done the U.S. and all of her allies a great service!
