Artist's Description

This roadway crosses over the San Pedro River that runs North.

Back in 1887, there was a earthquake South of here that caused the river to reverse and go North. The quake was 10.0 on the ricther scale. The epicenter was in a North East part of Mexico.

Even though the quake was south of the area, it caused boulders to spark fires in nearby mountains miles from the epicenter.

The big cloud in the background is a monsoon, and they start in the month of July each year.
