A seed falls to the ground, is covered with leaves, and is pressed into the soil. There it is nurtured by the rain, the richness of the soil, and the warm¬th of the sun. And, it begins to grow.

Unseen from above, it spreads its roots out into the soil. Nutrients flow into the body of the seed and give it the strength to push a soft, green stalk up through the darkness to the beckoning brilliance of the sun. Sun, rain, light, darkness, each in turn nur-tures and soothes the young seedling.

Season follows season. The fragile green stalk is tempered by their rhythm, and it begins to take on the shape and form of a sprouting fruit tree.

The seasons turn into years, and the young fruit tree focuses its energies on strengthening its root system and stretching its branches toward the life-giving sun.
Years of steady growth prepare the youthful tree to blos-som into maturity. And, as the tree matures, it begins to put forth its luscious fruit for those who seek its flavor and nourishment.

As the years pass, the mature tree is pruned by its wise attendant. After a short period of dormancy, it springs once more to life more vibrant than before. And, it produces even more luscious and more abundant supplies of fruit.
