2016 Super Bowl

I was recently approached by American advertising company Iris Worldwide requesting permission to use a photo of mine in an upcoming advertisement for one of their clients.

Of course I said yes.

Then I found out it would be used in an ad by an American Automotive Company.

Then I found out the American Automotive Company was Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Even more exciting.

Then I found out that the finished ad was shown in the half time break at the SUPER BOWL.

114.4 million people watched the Super Bowl

My Blog & Photographer of the Year Comp

I’ve been procrastinating about it, but the time has arrived to start a blog. If you’d like to check it out just click here

Also one more little piece of exciting news -

I just found out that I received a 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the Creative Category of the Photographer of the Year Competition . I also managed a top 50 placing in the People category with Washing Day coming in 21st.

A huge congratulations to all those Redbubble members who also made the Top 50…and especially to those who took out the top prizes, Ann Van Breemen and Enrico Bettesworth

OMFG – even more excited now (and I promise no more journals from me I only entered 3 images…lol) A score of 96 and a really weird comment from the judges this time…

Judges Feedback

Great photo, wrong forum – The judge thought this was a pretty good photograph of its type, but there are lots of photos like this in the world and, basically, they are looking for something different! Of course, being different alone doesn’t make it better, but it helps to get noticed.

I entered it in the People & Portrait section – not sure where else I should have entered it so I’m a little perplexed with the comment..But it still got Platinum ;0)

Roger Makes CANON EOS 1Wall

My image of Roger was selected as a finalist on the first EOS Canon 1 Wall.

The public can vote for their favourite image this week – and there are some terrific images there too – well worth a look …..and maybe even a vote ;0)

Check out the finalists here

I just had to share my excitement with you all. I just received notification that my image “The Sheepman” achieved a BRONZE Award in the INTERNATIONAL APERTURE AWARDS 2009.

How exciting is that! I’m chuffed.

Judges FeedbackExposure – The exposure seems to be incorrect for your subject – it is either too dark or too light in areas that are important to the composition. Consider improving the image either at the time of capture with a more appropriate exposure, or in post-production with a program like Photoshop.Lighting – Often the difference between a good photo and a great one is the light. This is a big subject and covers many issues, but the judge is indicating that better use of light may improve this image. Is the subject over lit? Is the light too contrasty or too flat for your

I just came across this person on photobucket. They are selling one (that I have found so far) image of mine. You might like to check them out to make sure yours aren’t being abused. They have lots of images and I’m in no doubt that very few are actually theirs.

My image is in the top row on page 2

I have reported them.

I just did a search on the site under “naomi frost” and found another of my photos, this time turned into some sort of movie poster – needless to say I’m not happy!

Thanks for stopping by....

Was just checking out my view count and noticed that Nirvana has had just over 10,000 views…yep, over 10,000 views on a single image. I just had to share my excitement with you all and say THANKS if you’ve stopped by to check it out.

I Didn't Win

Just an update about the “Pride Of Place Comp” (see previous journal for details).

I didn’t win…bummer…but I did get an honorable mention…

Watch out for me in the next comp though…I’ve got to win one sooner or later

You can check out the results Here

I Made The Finalist List...twice

I had to share my excitement with you guys. I’ve just seen that I have had 2 images selected as finalists in the Ph.Art Gallery “Pride Of Place Competition”.

The top 23 images have been selected from almost 2000 entries and I was fortunate enough to have had 2 images selected. You can check out the list of all finalist images here

My shots that made the cut were:
