The Last Goodbye

I was lost and alone,
I was wondering scared.
I was screaming for help,
but no one else cared.

Where was I going,
and what had I done?
I could not remember,
no memories, not one.

There were people around me,
they would laugh and they’d spit.
You were right there up front,
cause you don’t give a shit.

I woke with a cry,
and I sat up in bed.
It was all just a dream,
it was all in my head.

I was shaking and trembling,
I was covered in sweat.
My bodys on fire,
but i’m cold and i’m wet.

I look all around me,
at these dark empty walls.
I look down beside me,
but theres nothing at all.

I lay back in bed,
and I try to breathe slow.
This is killing me slowly,
but I can’t let that show.

I look over again,
for a second your there.
For a moment your smiling,
I just lie there and stare.

And then you are gone,
just as quick as you came.
I’m begining to lose it,
i’m going insane.

I want you to leave,
and I’m glad that your gone.
But why would you care,
I was always your pawn.

You told me you loved me,
more times than could count.
You said it’s forever,
our forevers run out.

You chastise and scold,
thinking I was to blame.
Oblivious to thinking,
you were part of a game.

We both had a choice,
and I chose the right side.
I chose with my heart,
ignoring my pride.

She’s a much better person,
than you could possibly be.
And she sees the true person,
thats inside of me.

So just sit there and cry,
and fill your heart with hate.
Because you had a choice,
and you chose against fate.

So as I lie here and think,
about her and not you.
I’ll wish you the best,
but we both know thats not true.
