Nature's Plea

The sea cried out it’s gutted plea,
“Oh please, I beg, come rescue me!”
I’m being stuffed with trash and junk
I’m sick of litter, I’ve lost my spunk
I no longer wish to toss about
My fearsome tides have lost their clout.
This stuff has spoiled my appetite
I don’t swallow sailors on lonely nights
My blues have faded a sickly grey
Adoring children no longer play
Along my dusty golden shore
Each wave sets free an open sore.
I’ve decided to drift away from my beaches,
I hope this tale of sadness teaches
A lesson to those who live in this world,
My vengeance on you will soon be unfurled."
