Artist's Description

The entrance to XVI century St Bartolome Church Javea, Spain.

This chuch was built from the local tosca stone, the bricks were carved directly from the fossilised sand dune that runs along the coast.

This building was not only designed as a place of worship but also as a defensive refuge for the villagers. You can clearly see the damage caused during battle.
