Artist's Description

It has been really cold here in Iceland and the temperature in the Stratosphere is even colder. It has been so cold in the Stratosphere that these amazing clouds called “nacreous clouds” appeared in 3 days in a row (4-6 January). The temperature needs to be -80 degrees Celsius in the Stratosphere for these clouds to appear. This photograph was taken on 6th of January around sunrise in Reykjavik.
