The Script Laid Unto Paper

As I walked in so quietly
I saw her there with tools in hand
No more emotions left to escape
Flawless in the execution

The blade fell down
Upon his white skin
She wasn’t so scared to cut too close
Her face looked so sweet
As she felt the desires
To ruin the face of this mute host

She stares out at the night
No thoughts to the deed in sight
In remembrance of her woes

It wasn’t quick the time of what it takes
She was slow to wake
With every mention of his name
No more pain, no more mistakes

As she pulled off the gloves
And she looked up
Our eyes met full on
Her gaze cried out calling for arms holding her sweet

I examined her work
Mentioned what it needs
Complimented her on the subtle details
Bleeding making it hard
To stay on task in this hour
This is not something they ought to know
Sought out for a quick fix
Grabbed a sponge and a liar
The silence so quick it would not fail
For all of the needs
And the greatest desires
Of a girl who had lost all her hopes

She stares out at the night
All thoughts to the words she’d write
She bared her entire soul

It was so quick the time of what it takes
She wasn’t there to wait
Not another mention of his name
No longer there so now she’s safe

As she pulled out the gun
And I looked up
Our eyes met full on
Her grin was greater than the time that I would sleep

It was so quick the time of what it takes
She wasn’t there to wait
Not another mention of his name
No longer there so now she’s safe

As I started to run
She followed me on
The door was not closed
The bed was there for us when clothes just wouldn’t keep
