Hope (11/10/2009)

I’m not sure about
What I’m doing right now;
Is three in the morning
And I am exhausted,
And this thing won’t let me sleep.
It’s burning my mind
It’s burning my soul
Untill I give birth to it.

You are opening my heart,
You are letting the sun in,
I was so dark in there…
Now I can almost see

“It does not seem like much”
The people might tell me,
But they don’t understand
The places I have been…
I come from the city Lonelyness
I turned into Heartbreak Street,
I stoped a while in Pain’s home…
I never thought I would leave…

You are here, now, beside me
And handed me the key.
I open the door
And walked in the warmth
That was just there,
Waiting for me.

I was scared, confused,
Of the brightness before me,
You offered your hand,
It closed around mine,
And your friendship gave to me.

The frozen tears in my eyes melted,
Run warmly down my cheecks,
So softly down my neck,
To reach where my heart be
Like sunrays through the mist.

I heard a crack
So loud and sharp,
The ice was melting quick!
My heart was warmming
Without a warnning
And a smile curved my lips.

I was lost and terrified,
Hidding away from life,
You open my heart…
And the sun came pouring in.

Who knows what will happen,
What will the future bring.
Who knows what’s in store,
Where this feeling will lead.

I just know you open my heart..
And let the sunshine in!
