Artist's Description

Jabari, one the BADDEST drummers on the planet. Photographed while he performed “live” at Baker’s Keyboard Lounge (Detroit, USA).

Reference for the symbol Jabari so blodly and proudly has tatooed in to his face:

The ankh (symbol) is/ the Kemetic (Egyptian) hieroglyphic character for “life”. Kemets are often portrayed in all forms of art carrying the anhk by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest. The ankh is also known as the Egyptian Cross, the key of life, the key of the Nile, or as crux ansata, Latin for “cross with a handle”.
