Re’Solve’

Image before my sight come clear
And to that mass of nerves, and gray slug cells
That on some occasion, parallels my thought
Be of comfort, and gentle cheer
That I have not lived in vain, and futile disgust
But rather,

That some small fraction, of what I issue
Will fall to base bare ground
That, in time, a well may fill
Of quantity enough that,
At least one more traveler, my share its resources

May thee of the leveled tombstone hear me now.
That my resign, though cratered like the moon,
Also contains thereon, smooth surfaces,
Which even if empty, are yet seas,
And upon their waters will I set my course,
And sail to whatever destiny awaits.
