Artist's Description

The Griffin is the mythological creature that was half lion, half eagle. Its image was placed over the archways in castles and rooms to guard the gold of princes and kings. Graffeo is the Italian word for Griffin after the royal family who owned a castle in the middle ages located in Partanna, Sicily.
