the falling photographer and his beheading

this is the poem about
the photographer
who went to the tallest skyscraper
and fell off the edge
and was taking pictures
with each flight he fell

some were of the people
inside who happened to look up
from reading business briefings

there were a few
of-blowing-the-boss-for-a-well-deserved-promotion
homo-satisfaction-porno-browsing debutantes
who saw the fleeting image of a falling man as curiously
erotic

on one floor a janitor was wiping up some vomit
expelled by the whore who had been paid
to eat excrement for the pity of the paying audience

another was where they take your information
for magazine subscriptions
six to eight weeks
six to eight weeks
until delivery to your door

oh fuck the poor whore
was one of the photographers last thoughts
as he imagined doing the same to her
but felt it was right to feel remorse
so he apologized
while he was in flight

and then

the photographer
got lucky and hit a gargoyle along the way
this dislodged the head from the throat
and made things a lot easier to take
for the camera
snappity
snappity
snap

kr-splat!

the falling photographer and his beheading
