Artist's Description

Sieve-Patterned Moray (Gymnothorax cribroris), Fly Point, Port Stephens, New South Wales.

1464 views as at January 17th, 2016.

Fly Point in Nelson Bay on Port Stephens, New South Wales, is part of the Fly Point/Halifax Park Aquatic Reserve and totally protected from fishing and other extractive activities. Due to strong tidal currents it can only be dived on a slack tide, but then it is well worthwhile. The colourful sponges and incredible diversity of marine life make it one of the best dives in NSW – and it’s accessible from shore!

Nikon D300, 60mm Micro Nikkor, ISO 200 in RAW, f/32 at 1/60 sec, Seacam housing, Seacam flash.
