The expression of ideas and an overall impression is important to me. I sketch and paint with pencils, pen, watercolour and acrylics. Although I have made more conventional work, I’ve always wanted to alter and interpret what I see. I am moving towards concept and possibly multi media art, where one art form inspires another, such as my Spem In Alium family which is a graphic response to the score of Tallis’ multi voice choral work.
Another theme is seminal scenes in films important to me – not a depiction of the scene, but its meaning, which is more abstract. I only began professional art in Jan 2011 and secured a solo show within a month (one of two that year) and now have a few each year.
I published my first novel in July 2016 – visit www.parallel-spirals.webs.com. There is special art created for that which available on this site.
