This is a quarttet of drawings in pen and ink, they depict the industry that drove the North East of England for almost 2 centuries. Drawn on heavy cartride paper with uni pin Drawing pens
All of the collieries shown were within 3 miles of my home, and the cottage was the home of the Engineers, George and Robert Stephenson, Who gave the world their railways. The pits are, Church pit, Wallsend, South Gosforth Colliery and the Billy pit at West moor. George Stephenson Worked at the Billy Pit and his cottage still stands close to the site, and is around 1/2 a mile from my home
