Artist's Description

I came on a whole strip of fabulous golden rod growing in an abandoned right of way. Not many butterflys, but the bumblebees and honey bees were loving it. Solidago fistulosa is a native of the eastern United States and Canada. It will grow almost any where although it prefers moist well drained soil. these were about 3 1/2 feet high. Thomas Edison once tried to show that rubber could be made from the sap. This image was taken north ofJasper, Florida on US 129 in Hamilton County.
