Artist's Description

Pele Goddessof Fire dancing was inspired by a visit to volcano park on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Kilaulea volcano was smoking and spewing lava.I thought about the legend and came up with the idea she could be dancing at the opening and summoning her powers to create new earth from deep inside the vocano.

acrylic s withmany layers ,a lot of knife work and only a small amount of brush work used in this painting.
