Artist's Description

Marble-headed Snake-lizard Delma australis.
Listed as Endangered in NSW.

This small legless lizard occurs in mallee woodlands and spinifex grasslands and are active during the day, particularly early morning and late afternoon. In very hot weather, this species is also nocturnal.
