The passenger

She looked up briefly as he boarded the train before returning to her book as he sat across the aisle from her. Yet unbidden thoughts of his hands caressing her thighs intruded on her reading and made her glance across at him, thinking that her dark glasses would hide the interest in her eyes. He met her gaze for an instant and in that instant she felt his power – the power of his mind to ‘imagine’ being intimate with her. Ah! So that’s his game she thought. Would she play the ‘game’ or not….
No, this time she decided he could find someone else, someone unsuspecting of his ploys.
He was a trifle too intrusive – in fact – he was way too intrusive and so she blocked his moves and resisted his power and concentrated on her book. After all, Bell’s writing was much more appealing……
