Darfur

Please don’t try and tell me
God exists in Darfur
In a place where bodies are thrown
Like pennies in wells to poison
Water of the Fur
God cannot exist in a place of starvation
Or why can’t he send a second son
Feed villages with one basket
When food is only found by walking miles
Searching for something edible
With a risk of being seen by the Janjaweed militia
Gang raped then killed
Or tossed in the dessert like cigarette butts
To dehydrate sun soak into nothing
Where is God in the eyes of Amina?
A mother whose son Adom was shoved
In the flames of his own village
Her second son Jacob shot in the back twice
Fell down dead holding hands
Her husband shot in the head
His first step out of their burning hut by bombs
Where was God when she was being gang raped by police?
Repeatedly shot in the legs five feet away by men paid to protect
Where is God when Bush turns his eyes away from a place he called Genocide?
Telling America “we’re doing the best we can”
Bullshit while forgetting Darfur as a whole
Where is God in the displacement camps?
Where people walk fifty days in the dessert bare foot
They carry stories of gang rape
Of torture
Of children shot in the stomachs of people getting
Lips ears eyelids sliced off
Fingers broke they’re thrown
Far in the sands of Sudan
At least 100 miles ‘til the next displacement camp
Deceivingly ending up a concentration camp
Non-Arabs have life on repeat
Famine disease destruction genocide
There’s hardly any hope for families
With the only fate in sight is victims of genocide
Or somehow victims of suffering
‘cause this God gave freewill
Victims of evil don’t chose with their non-existant freewill
To be slaughtered to be victims of evil
Of people severly damaged in the head
Brainwashed by power
No one chose this
It makes a difference to understand where to stand
‘cause some stand stopping aid
Some stand promoting slaves
Some stand while rapping
Where is God in these people?
In the Sudannesse government?
In the Janjaweed militia?
The cause of slow motion genocide
Kumbaya Lord
A child is raped
Kumbaya Lord
A family is murdered
Kumbaya Lord
A baby is burnt
Kumabaya Lord
Where are you?
We have to realize people are infinit
God is finit
God cannot stop genocide
God has created wars
Never stopped them
And if a man can sit and order Janjaweed militia
To ruthlessly rape and murder
People belonging to the same mother country
Then man can do anything
We as humans are in control of our own evolution
But have to understand how to
Stand against genocide
