I am an artist who prefers to paint from life. I paint portraits with live models regularly, using oils. I also paint still lifes and landscapes.

In August 2016 my painting ‘A portrait of Anne’ was awarded Highly Commended at the Victorian Artists Society annual Portrait Exhibition.

In July 2017 my works were accepted and two sold at The Camberwell Art Show.

In August 2017 my painting ‘A Portrait of Jack’ was awarded Highly Commended at The Victorian Artists Society annual Portrait Exhibition.

In September 2017, I received a Highly Commended for my painting ‘Haughty’ at The Royal Melbourne Show’.

In October 2017, I received a Highly Commended for my portrait ‘Felicity, city woman’ from judge Clive Sinclair, one of The Twenty Melbourne Painters’.

In November 2017 The Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors (MSWPS) jointly, with artist Sue Jarvis, awarded me the ‘Constance Wu Award’. This is awarded to the member receiving the most votes counted from the two submitted works in their annual exhibition. The two works were ‘Felicity, city woman (Highly Commended) and ‘Lost in thought’ which was sold.

Most of my artworks are for sale. Commissioned works also are welcome.

AWARD

NOVEMBER 2017: / From the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors (MSWPS): / I have been awarded jointly, with wonderful artist Sue Jarvis, ‘The Constance Wu Award’. This is for the most votes counted for my two entered works, voted by peers in the major exhibition this year. Pretty pleased.

Another award!

I am very pleased that my oil painting ‘Felicity, city woman’ has been awarded a Highly Commended at the 2017 Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors’ (MSWPS) annual exhibition ‘Changing Perspectives’. The exhibition hangs in the Victorian Artists Society galleries Albert Street East Melbourne. It was judged by Clive Sinclair, one of ‘The Twenty Melbourne Painters’ and esteemed artist.

Highly Commended

My oil painting of the rooster I called ‘Haughty’ has won a Highly Commended at The Melbourne Royal Show 2017! Very pleasing.

Highly Commended in portraiture competition 2017.

I was delighted that for a second time in this annual competition, I was awarded a Highly Commended, this time for my ‘Portrait of Jack’. This was at the Victorian Artists Society Portrait Exhibition 2017.
