Welcome to my shop!

I enjoy capturing the beauty of nature in everyday surroundings — often what you can see if you take a minute to stop and look around.

I’ve been a photographer for as long as I can remember. I started with a little point-and-shoot camera when I was in grade school, and moved up to a 35mm SLR in high school (it’s still in the closet – I don’t know that I’ll use it again, but I just can’t get rid of it!). I had a makeshift darkroom in our basement thanks to a family friend unloading equipment – no running water except for the washing machine, so things were a little, well, interesting. :)

I bought my first digital camera back in the mid-‘90s. It was a Kodak point-and-shoot, and did the job for, oh, I think over ten years. I moved up to a digital SLR and I’m so glad I made the move. I shoot all digital now, but don’t make any digital alterations (except for a crop here and there to allow for an extreme closeup, or the edit on the Squirrel Nutkin shot to get rid of a “present” a bird left behind on the platform).

Thanks for stopping by, and please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, suggestions, requests, or comments. Happy to hear from you!
