Artist's Description

This photo depicts the only blue post-box remaining in the country, located at the junction of the High Street with St. Albans Street in Windsor.

Special airmail boxes in blue were placed at important sites between 1930 and 1938. They only lasted for eight years because rapid expansion of the air service to Europe and the British Empire, made them redundant.
