Artist's Description

AKA Civillians out and about in Aidensfield.
AKA Goathland Railway Station.

I had no idea when I came here, that it was “Hogsmead” the famous station where Harry Potter and his friends disembark after the incredible Hogwarts Express journey. All my friends were focusing on was that it is where “Heartbeat” was filmed. Heartbeat for those who do not know is some rural English show about police or something. Apparently the fact that I still associate the show with “Wicksy” from Eastenders is not a Good Thing as he left about 50 years ago (okok, not that long).

Anyway of course, I since rewatched the Harry Potter films and concentrated hard on the station and of course, it is indeed “Hogsmead”.

To mere Muggles, as seen here, on a break from the journey, it is more commonly known as Goathland.

Goathland, North Yorkshire, England. July 2007.

Canon IXUS 850is.

I use no post-processing of any kind, unless stated.
