Vintage East Aurora
by Susan Kimball

I will admit that it’s been a while since I have done a watercolor. The trick with watercolor in my experience is practice. You have to really think about each step or you will be in a mess in a hurry. I feel that I was saved with the use of pastel pencils. I was able to rework a few areas that were really getting muddy. Still there are areas that could use a bit more work. But sometimes a painting needs to sit for a while. For now I am calling this finished and for me it looks like a wonderful place to breathe.
Thanks Susan for allowing me to translate your beautiful photograph!!
