Artist's Description
Watercolor painting on 15x 20 “Montval” cold press 140 LB Paper. This wonderful shed is on the lake side of my good friends home. Her husband put the sign in the window many, many years ago and although the shed has seen better days, the sign remains. Tom, my friends husband, has been gone for at least 9 years now. So hard to believe. But we will never forget him and his sense of humor. I was glad to have been able to paint the Mental Ward, while it was still in wonderful condition.

I can sense the man’s character and humor in the scene. I believe you’ve memorialized him a bit in your painting.
Thanks so much Richard….I do feel him when I think about the painting. He was a wonderful man and he left way to soon. He loved the lake and I know that shed said a lot about him. But it is nice to have someone put it in words. I guess I never thought of it that way until now.
