That Eerie Feeling

Did you ever have that eerie feeling

There was something just behind you

Someone there that wasn’t

But could set your head a’ reeling

A faint perfume would fill the air

A scent you can remember

Nostalgia sneaks up in your mind

Is someone you’ve known there

You don’t feel afraid, there is no fear

There is some comfort in it

Is this a visit from afar,

From someone you hold dear

perhaps this is a dream you’re in

A dream that you’ve been needing

For dreams are our transportation back

To places you have been

A sweeter time just gone away

But so hard to forget

You want to have it all be real

And not just held at bay

So give into that eerie feeling

Let the spirits have their fancy

Let the dreams arrive let them survive

Take what they are dealing

Drink in the scent, that rare perfume

Let it’s warmth wrap all around you

And when the feeling leaves you

And there is no one in the room

Just make a wish they will return

And hope it’s very soon

That Eerie Feeling
