Artist's Description

These blackened trees continue to stand tall in the Yarra Ranges National Park. This area was affected by the horrendous bushfires on Black Saturday, 7 Feb 2009.

Despite the black trunks, the leaves continue to grow. This was taken 15 weeks after the fires. I have changed this to monochrome, to enhance the black trunks.

This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. 600+ views.
