Artist's Description

Formed 30000 yrs. ago when rising basaltic magma struck subterranean water tube, a violent explosion created a funnel shaped crater. Within the crater, a series of cones & spheres are surrounded by crater lake. Tower Hill volcano is roughly 4K wide and 500M high, It is a State Park. It was once used for pasture for stock and crops. It has been planted with over 300,000 native trees over the last two generations and is now home to such as, Koalas, Emus, Kangaroos, Magpie Geese, Echidnas, Possums and many water birds. Great educational place to visit.
